Annual stay and anniversary
We are staying in a suite this time, and its lovely
Nice and warm and very cosy
Last night we had a tapas at tye hotel which was amazing, food was absolutely lovely, service great and the staff very friendly and helpful
Wouldn’t stay anywhere else from now on
On arrival to our room there was a bottle of champagne and chocolates waiting for us
So Thankyou so much Adam wardale for this lovely gesture, we really appreciate your kindness

Beautiful Little Gem in the Heart of York.m
We arrived around 6pm, the parking is a little tight but it’s a secure, gated car park.
Check in was quick and we got to our room which was clean, well equipped and I know this sounds silly, it they had proper sized mugs in the room, not a small thimble like you get in most places! Good selection of teas, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was clean and roomy. We had a nice room and we had no complaints whatsoever.
As it was our anniversary, we had booked a table in the restaurant. Beautifully laid out and lots of soft furnishings. The staff were really lovely and made our anniversary a little more special by bringing us some little bottles of Prosecco to celebrate with, it was a really thoughtful gift and we appreciated it. The food was excellent! We ordered from their Yorkshire Tapas and Charcuterie board. Similarly, teak fast was really hearty and delicious.
We’d certainly go back again and we’d recommend this hotel to our friends and family, so we decided to leave a review on here too.

It offers complimentary access to a fitness center with a gym. The hotel is 7 minutes' drive from York Racecourse. Individually decorated, the rooms with attached bathroom have free high-speed WiFi, a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities as basic facilities. A fresh breakfast is available every morning and the modern Sawmill restaurant offers a varied menu throughout the day. Guests can also enjoy a drink on one of two sunny terraces or in the hotel gardens. Secure on-site parking is available at an extra cost. Payment needs to be made with credit or debit card only.
