Great food in a beautiful location

So impressed with our lunch here. Shared charcuterie platter to start (forgot to take a photo), then I had the sea bass with fries and my husband had the ploughman’s with loaded fries. Couldn’t fault any of it. Great quality, generous portions, very tasty. Staff were excellent- friendly and attentive. Beautiful old inn in a stunning location. Highly recommended.

Riverside Location

A lovely location by the River so this place will be buzzing at peak times. The road down is very narrow so care needs to be taken ,parking is by the river so don’t forget to put the handbrake on. A rustic interior catering for all and dogs are welcome. Limited lunchtime menu in October with Burgers seeming to be the main offering along with Fish & Chips and Ploughman’s platters. We had burgers 1xBeef 1xChicken. Priced around £11.00 excluding any sides so add some cheese & bacon @£2.50 and some Fries @£4 and your meal is costing you around £18.00 so not the best value. Service was good and drinks were priced slightly above average at £5.60 per pint.
It was lovely to visit so I can add to my been to list but I wouldn’t be visiting when it’s busy.

Riverside hospitality and excellence

Firstly, the location cannot be beaten. Right by the River Wye. Although the ferry is sadly not running, little can beat sitting and drinking and just being right by the beautiful river. Secondly, the food is excellent. Plenty of choice, all filling, all tasty. Thirdly, the rooms are good, clean and all with river views and decent bathrooms. Finally the management and staff are excellent. Welcoming, friendly, efficient, helpful, pretty much perfect.

Absolutely perfect gem in a valley

Fantastic staff are amazing friendly happy and attentive could not fault anything food was amazing atmosphere is just perfect relaxing clean and so professional would definitely come back to this gem in the valley . Service is amazing rooms are so clean and tidy outside is perfect

A slice of heaven in the Wye Valley.

We have just spent 5 nights at YOFI 2 nights on our own and then 3 nights joined by our kids, we rented out Otters Lodge. What an amazing experience we had. Otters lodge is a large 2 bedroom 2 bathroom attachment to the pub itself with views of the river from every window. It is tastefully decorated and everything that you need has been thought of. Spotlessly clean, really comfy and well stocked for everything self catering even down to milk in the fridge. It was perfect for our family as we explored the local area and visited family, we didn't want to leave! The pub is just gorgeous, delicious food/wine/beer and Jamie the owner has created something very special. Staff were professional and friendly a big shout out to Linda who is fab and of course Jamie himself who was so friendly and welcoming to us.
