Terrific Location, Great River Views, Reasonable Rates, and Friendly Staff
I choose the hotel as I was linking up with a group of travelers on a tour package and their agency put them into this hotel. The location is excellent; it's across the street from the banks of the Erbo River and adjacent to the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar and La Seo. The Roman Walls and Central Market are also across the street. I did quite a bit of walking in the streets and alleys of the Old Town area both during the day and at night and felt completely safe.
There's a tram stop just outside the entrance to the hotel; I arrived on a Renfe train from Madrid into the Delicias Station and used the local rail to get to the Zaragoza-Goya station and then bought a ticket on the tram platform and rode the few stops to the hotel. I took an Uber the next day to the train station and it took about 10 minutes and cost about eight Euro.
Since I had a travel credit, I booked the largest room I could, which was a Family Room With View and I added the free breakfast supplement. I was assigned a room on the fourth floor. The main view was of the river but I also had a view of the Basilica towers, The room was large and spacious and very comfortable.
The front desk clerk was very helpful and forgiving of my weak Spanish and was kind enough to speak to me in English. One minor quibble is that the two elevators are both very small, maybe fitting four people at most. So, when my friends' group arrived, it was a bit chaotic during meeting times. There are stairs, though.
Meals were included in the tour package; we had both dinner (meh) and breakfast (very good) at the property. It was a Sunday night so many of the stores and restaurants in the area were closed, but there are decent places to eat at other times.
Overall, I'd stay here again if I was ever visiting.

Disappointed - would not stay again
When I got to the room I was wanting a tea and a rest before exploring however the kettle was burnt or mouldy (not sure which) - I told reception and this was changed. The toilet had also been used - I didn’t report this to reception because flushing it solved the problem but it did make me wonder what else had not been cleaned.
The room was basic and the walls were very thin. I did try to change rooms as there was a newborn baby crying for a long time but was told this was not possible (note: I understand babies cry and I’m ok with that but when the walls are so thin and it’s nearly midnight it interrupts my enjoyable stay) however I was told it was not possible to change rooms.
The bathroom is spacious but basic. Shower was ok but not the best I have had on this trip.
Location is good but that’s about it.
Overall I would not return.
