Hotel Porcel Ganivet - Good location
The rooms were cleaned daily and the buffet breakfast was good as there was a good choice. The staff were very friendly and even recommended a restaurant in Plaza Mayor to try. We went to Gustos and found the paella and drinks very tasty, we would also recommend this restaurant.
We usually do the hop on and off bus tour but we walked to the places we wanted to see as they were roughly 30 mins away. We visited Gran Via, the Royal Palace and Retiro Park ( Cristal Palace is closed for renovation).
We also went to Hotel Rui Plaza for the 360° rooftop bar and had great views of the city, costs €5 entry.
We also liked 100 montaditos as you can get drinks and snacks from €1, quite a few of these places in Madrid.
When we checked out the hotel we had a taxi booked to take us to the airport, fixed price of €33.
Overall we had a great time and would stay at Porcel Ganivet again.

Coffee in room is awful and no coffee available downstairs unless you pay for large buffet breakfast. Excellent coffee shop nearby , ‘tho. Coffee Bar Calatrava.

- sheets on the bed had dirty old spots and it was verry responsive rooms.
