No shower in our room but a beautiful jacuzzi tub!
Overall we will be back in the summer for kayaking!

Hospitality and cleanliness need to be learned here!
There was no housekeeping available which we were not told at checkin. They delivered fresh towels to our room but did not take the used ones. After staying for three nights, our garbages were overflowing and we had quite a pile of used towels and washcloths. We had to ask for Keurig coffee pods and used
the same mugs for 3 days as they were not replaced each day. The floors were filthy by then as well.
The last morning that we were there, my husband went looking for someone to provide coffee pods. There was no one at the front desk and no one came when he used the service buzzer. He went looking downstairs in the storage room (door was left wide open) and was disgusted to see that the room was a disaster. Boxes of food on the floor next to containers of cleaning products. The lobby was just as much of a disaster with overflowing garbages and garbage on the floor.
When we checked out, there was still nobody to be found…we just left our key on the desk.
It is quite a shame because it is an absolutely beautiful location and the service in the past with Katie at the front desk was always phenomenal. Unfortunately we will not be back and would not recommend to anyone.

This year there was no one at the desk when I arrived shortly after check in time. My fob was left at the desk to get into my room.
I had a jetted tub instead of a shower, but the plug didn’t work, so needed to mcgiver a way to keep the plug in as no staff on site.
There were 4 rambunctious boys that spent between 6 pm and 11 pm running around, play fighting and screaming in the common area below me while their parents (owners?) were on the lower floor. I had to ask them to be quiet 5 times.
Prime was included, no Netflix, no snacks, but a couple water bottles.
Comfortable bed, clean room, spacious and cozy. Nice to have the bar fridge and microwave.
Would have been a more pleasant stay with staff available to shut down the noise.

Fairy Bay Gooselodge
No one was there to greet us upon arrival. Owners are not on the property; there is one maintenance man who is extremely nice and busy. No breakfast either, a few snacks left in the room. Our room was on the basement floor. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Only one very small night table. Windows in the room had the hand crank removed which was a shame because the air was fresh and it would have been nice to sleep with them open. When we asked why the man answered it was because of mosquitos ( which didn’t make sense since there are screens on the windows.)
The real downfall of the property was the abundance of Canadian Geese poop and feathers on the property. When walking down to the beach we were on high alert as to all the landmines. Also, an abundance of feathers littered the lawn. It looked like a goose had been run over by a lawnmower, there were so many feathers. The geese flocked the beach around 8 pm. There were about 100. I feel if the owner were on the property this would not be a problem as there are solutions to keep the geese from flocking. It’s seems this is a money making investment rather than a true bed and breakfast labor of love.
We took the kayaks out one day and it’s a beautiful paddle around the lake. Sitting on the dock was relaxing and enjoyable.
All in all, very quiet and peaceful, the area is beautiful, but next time I will skip Fairy Poop Lakehouse and go with another accommodation where owners have more interest in their property.
