Biohazard- not clean & not safe
The toilet paper was seen by cleaning staff as it was folded on the end (like how they usually do to refresh for the next guest) and left there.
People who use drugs clean their needles by putting it in toilet paper (usually done in public washroom, this was on the news to create awareness etc) but this should not have been something I should have witnessed at any hotel, nevermind the fact it's the most expensive hotel near me.. 230$ for that was disgusting.
Front desk person was nice enough to change my room, but how can I trust that anything is clean after that. I ended up sleeping on the pull out couch because the linens in the bag looked fresh & untouched. I live just down the road & wanted to book a hotel to relax get away but this was not a get away, it was giving drug den vibes.. really regret coming here but Carmen's didn't have any rooms.
Oh also they are doing construction currently so theres lots that is not available also the construction made some alarm go off in my room that woke me up first thing in the morning. Not relaxing at all, wish I just stayed home.
Anyways here to say it's more like a 1 or 2 star motel where you don't know what kind of fluids you'll come into contact with. Don't come here for vacation, this isn't that kind of hotel. I saw on a previous review the owner replied that this is a safe place/area and crime happens etc, and employees both live and work in the area & its safe and I'm here to say ya, so do I, but this was really ghetto. No excuses here please.
Lastly, the walls are so thin you can hear everyone's business & the crack between the door & the wall is so big that you can see through to the other side, which means if someone wants to look into your hotel room they can see you too!
Instead of spending money on renovations that deeply distrub guests, I highly recommend in improving on other areas first or at least provide a discounted rate in the meantime. I just went to the hyatt in Montreal and they had renovations and provided earbuds, that's a small thing that can at least make it look like you care about guest experience.
Wish I read the other reviews before coming here.
