A fantastic airport hotel.
We were originally booked for 1 night, to sum up our fantastic Munich vacation over New Year's eve, but due to a flight cancellation, we stayed for 2 more nights for our newly rebooked flight.
Christmas decorations in the lobby welcomed us upon check in.
We checked in at 16:15 and waited for almost 30 minutes in the Hilton honors line.
We booked a regular room and as Diamond members were upgraded to an Executive room - room 6203.
It took us a while to actually find the room (the lobby is vast and the hotel features several wings).
The room itself was large and modern, with 2 beds, a desk with chair, an armchair, a coffee table, a TV, a complimentary minibar and a safe.
The bathroom was equally large, with a shower with an a great water pressure, a sink, a toilet, but no bath tub.
The Crabtree&Evelyn dispensers were the ordinary toiletries.
Our second room for our stay was a Deluxe twin room - 1210, which was identical to the first room (but had a far superior water pressure).
Our only concerns with our rooms were that they were not light-proof nor sound-proof (which is odd, for an airport hotel).
Unfortunately, both rooms suffered from an almost constant stench of jet fuel vapors, which was entering the room from the ventilation system. Strangely enough, the hotel couldn't provide an air purifier.
Housekeeping was somehow odd, as they literally refused to change our linens, which became drenched of sweat during the night, due to the a/c turning off. It took a message in the Hilton app to sort this oddity out.
Breakfast at the hotel's restaurant - Mountain Hub Social Dining - was fantastic and rich. I've written a separate review about it.
The hotel featured an excellent spa, pool, jacuzzi, wet and dry saunas on the -1 floor. Due notice, however, that the saunas are "clothing optional". The spa is open until 22:00, which is great.
The large Executive Lounge is located in floor -1 and is - in a word - PHENOMENAL.
it is open from 7:00 until 22:00.
During the day, it features hot and cold drinks, fruits and some nibbles.
However, the lounge shines like a pearl during the evening spread (18:00-20:30), which is - by far - the best lounge spread of any Hilton we've seen worldwide!
The dinner spread is a full blown buffet, featuring 3-4 hot dishes (including local Bavarian dishes), 2-3 salads, cold cuts, cheese, desserts, fruit platter and alcohol.
Christina at the lounge does an excellent job and is one of the friendliest persons at the hotel.
Needless to say, dinner at the lounge is a total and complete substitute for dinner at a restaurant and we were extremely full each and every night after it.
Bottom line - this is truly a fantastic airport hotel, and my score would be 5 TripAdvisor stars hadn't it been to the issues in our rooms (the jet fuel vapors, in particular).

Convenience and Comfort Right at the Airport
The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, modern, well-equipped, and clean. One small drawback is the motion sensor in the room, which activates a night light when moving around. So far, I haven’t found a way to deactivate it.
The hotel’s upgrade policy is, in my experience, very restrictive — significantly more so than in many other Hilton properties. Gold members can hardly expect an upgrade to the Executive Floor, even when booking just one category below (despite relatively low hotel occupancy). However, it’s a nice touch that the minibar is included in some room categories. Lounge access, on the other hand, can be purchased for an additional fee, which likely explains the strict upgrade policy. Relevant experiences from well-known travel bloggers can also be found online with little effort.
A true highlight is the breakfast at Mountain Hub, which offers a very diverse selection of consistently high-quality and delicious options. However, for those who are not Gold or Diamond members and therefore need to pay for breakfast, the price of € 42 per person is quite steep. Even though the breakfast is really excellent, one might still question whether it’s worth the cost.
The bar in the lobby area is beautifully designed, but the prices are also on the high side, and the service could be more attentive — especially considering the price level.
All in all, despite a few minor drawbacks, this hotel still feels worthy of a five-star rating.

Excellent airport hotel just steps from the terminal
The hotel itself is very nice and clean with the executive lounges being one of the nicest I’ve been in . The room was spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable which made it hard to wake up again for my flight.
