Although in Spain it is not customary to tip, in some situations it is welcomed. There is a general across the board standard of service regardless of tips. That being said for extraordinary service, it’s always nice to show your appreciation. We will walk you through general tipping customs while exploring Spain.

Tipping on taxis is not always expected, but very appreciated by the drivers. If your driver exceeds your expectations, tipping 10% of your final fare is a great way to thank them. Many drivers charge a luggage fee, so no need to tip for bags.
Airport shuttle service is not typically tipped. If your driver helps with your bags, tipping €1 per bag is common.
Hotel – 3 People You Need to Tip
Housekeeping often has a fee included in your hotel bill. If your room is kept neat and tidy, tipping €1 a day is common.
When the Bellhop helps you with your bag, it is typical to tip €1 to €2 per bag.
If the concierge gives you a inside scoop on the location, tipping €5 to €10 is more than courteous.
