A route 66 piece of history

What a feeling of nostalgia staying in a place like this . We had actually stumbled upon this during a nationwide road trip. The room was clean, staff was kind. My older son loved the idea of stepping into a Tee P to spend the night. We even ended up coming back after Palm spring for another night . It was quite fun. An awesome historical spot we would recommend.

A Most Memorable Route 66 Experience

This historic Route 66 property is truly special. The owners obviously take pride in the property and the TeePees are inpecably clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The shower is unique experience with a yesteryear feeing, and had excellent water pressure; something one wouldn't expect to find in a historic motel. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. For a fun stay, make sure you add this location to your list of must-do Route 66 experiences.

Nice stop for a quick trip

Made a quick trip to LA from Las Vegas. The Wigwam Motel is a nice fun quiet place to spend the night on Route 66. Reasonably priced and seemed relatively safe. (The neighborhood seems a little shady.)
One thing could be improved:
1. Get rid of the harsh flourescent light above the bathroom door. Replace it with an LED. Perhaps put a table lamp as well.

Sleep in a Wigwam on Historic Route 66!

Cutest place to stay on Route 66! The owners are personable and very friendly. I asked a lot of questions because I was curious. For almost two years they painstakingly remodeled the Wigwam and it shows. I loved the bathroom tiles and the flooring. They’re original! The inside was bigger than I had imagined. Queen bed, large couch, plenty of room for two people. And pretty much soundproof. I would definitely stay again. Maybe in 2026 when Route 66 celebrates 100 Years!

Best of the three remaining Wigwam motels and well worth a visit

We've stayed in all three of the remaining Wigwam Motels and the San Bernardino site is the best maintained of the three. It was immaculate both as far as the room as well as the grounds. The staff was very friendly and helpful and willing to get up early to fix us coffee before we left at 4 AM if we wanted. They also had a great assortment of souvenirs and postcards for sale in the office so we could have mementos of our visit. I highly recommend any Route 66 aficionados who are considering a visit to go ahead and book a visit. I must warn you that although this Wigwam motel's claim to fame is that they are the only one of the 7 to have a pool it was surprisingly small by modern standards. It didn't affect our stay though as it was after dark when we arrived and much too chilly to be going swimming.
