Pleasant and Extraordinary team

Stella and the other front desk staff provided extraordinary service to me. I arrived in Arkansas late and was provided with pleasant and exceptional service from front desk staff and from the gentlemen who picked me up from the airport in the shuttle.

Great location and service. The hotel shuttle service was terrific and Lois and Larry are great drivers. The room was comfy but the hotel is tired. Updates help but all our room furniture was scuffed and worn. Same in the bathroom vanity

Do not recommend!

Attended business conference hosted at this hotel. Not only was the air conditioning not working in the conference area, the AC in my room was also not working. Additionally, the faucet in bathroom was broken, safe was not working, room clock was broken and cover on phone showing hotel extensions was missing. Reaching anyone at the front desk took numerous phone calls (appeared to be understaffed). Hotel shuttle to and from airport was also broke and hotel failed to notify those of us who had it reserved for return. Of the approx 40 conferences I’ve attended, this hotel was by far the worst. Not even close to the standard of a Hilton property.

Oh my God when I first got to the DoubleTree downtown I thought it was just going to be like any normal hotel check-in. But I was wrong Stella was so professional and she was super nice to everyone. Including the people in front on me. Most people who check you into the hotel never really smile the entire time. Most people who check you in don't listen to you and try to make it the best experience you've ever had. Stella does. I will definitely be back.

Considering this is a Hilton brand this hotel receives 1 star. 2 nights in a row I did not have hot water in my room. The front desk gives you a stunned-disbelief act when you ask if they are having water problems...like "no sir but I can send somebody to check that for you". Every guest is talking about it and there was a line at the from desk all with people talking about not being able to take (hot) showers but the front desk just treats you like you are stupid and can't see them lying to you. How do they wash dishes in the restaurant if they have issues with hot water?
The room I had on the 4th floor had two doors (one to the hallway and the rear door to the pool deck) I walked out the rear door one time and later found old nasty cigarette butts on the floor of my room. Later I realized the butts came from the pool deck where they had washed back toward the door threshold in the rain. I KNOW the housekeepers must be aware of this but they obviously do not address it as part of their daily "cleaning" (see photo of threshold attached)
Also, for once I needed a USB charge port which you can typically find everywhere in hotels but it was the 2nd day before I finally found a single... one (1) port... on the tiny alarm clock. It gave me the impression that the furniture in this hotel is the same since its build in 1995 (USB came out in 1996)...Is that even possible? Not worthy of the Hilton Brand.
