Great hidden gem Granville house

Granville house is a lovely hidden gem. Great place to stay. We stopped in the 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment it is a big apartment Great location near to york Town centre only a 15 minute walk free parking. Be my guest where absolutely brilliant kept us upto date when the apartment would be ready and very easy to book it

Great location with parking to explore the amazing city of York.

Really good communication with the host. Given clear instructions on how to find the keys.
The location is great. about 25 minutes to the centre of York. There is free on street parking which is a bonus. However, it is a small street and some tight so be aware if you have a big car.
The accommodation had everything you would need for a short stay. The hot drink welcome park was really appreciated. Thanks!
I would recommend Bamboo Thai Restaurant for an evening meal which is 5/10 min walk away from the accommodation.
All things that wouldn't stop me staying again but I felt were minor negatives.
The sofa isn't very comfy. We were out all day and wanted to chill in the evening.
The bed was very low.
The shower is quite narrow for a plus size person like myself.

Well appointed modern unit in a quiet area.

Close to amenities and the city centre. Modern appliances and great bathroom. HOWEVER The bed is a travesty. A thick slab of foam rubber on a base which when two people are in the bed results in them being thrust together. My wife had to leave and sleep on the sofa.
The bed is difficult to get out of, being so close to the floor.
The shower water controls are slippery and cannot be easily adjusted with those with poor grip.
The owners should consider supplying a portable clothes horse so that clothes could be dried outside in fine weather, thus saving electricity.

Couples weekend away

First time we have stayed here and would definitely recommend it as a base for York. It was about a 15 steady walk to the Shambles area of York. We stayed in apartment 21 C which is a 2 bedroom 2 ensuite bathroom property on the first floor. It was great having the living room space to relax in on a morning and when we got back in on a night. Lovely decorated very clean and well equipped. The double bed is slightly small as we are used to king-size beds but very comfy.There is free parking outside the property so no parking fees to pay. It is a place we will consider again if we go to York.
