We checked into a horrible hotel and desperately needed another place to stay; and we found The Quarter! This place is amazing, clean, convenient, and has such great vibes!
PROS: -
- very new and modern hotel
- friendly staff
- Lawsons inside hotel (closes around midnight)
- Lek massage inside hotel (make an appointment easily using the Lek app!)
- great pool with lots of lounging areas all around the hotel
- room is well-designed
- toilet has a bidet
- toiletries are provided (Mt. Sapola)
- towels are fresh and clean
- SmartTV in the room
- wifi is pretty good
- bed is firm and comfortable
- blackout curtains work amazingly well (we had incredible sleeps every night!)
- beautiful view of the Chaophraya river
- side door out that leads you on a ~10 min walk to ICONSIAM and ICS
- balcony is lovely to chill on
- sufficient clothes hanging space in the room
- plenty of lighting options
- USB charger attached to bedhead
- there’s a cute hotel kitty!!!!!
- so many great amenities; gym, sauna, pool (all provide extra towels for you!), kids indoor play area, in-house coffeehouse (Casa Lapin)
CONS: -
- location is slightly limited (but this is also a pro if you don’t want that whole “bangkok jam” experience)
- when it rains there are some unsheltered areas
- water temperature fluctuates (it gets really nice and hot but every few mins or so becomes cool and then back to hot again; you get used to it🤷🏻♀️)
- mozzies come out to play at your balcony once the sun sets, but hey, it’s Asia. That’s just the way it is
- there are sounds from the boats, but honestly, if you’re not a CRAZY LIGHT SLEEPER, you won’t even notice it (our record for longest sleep was 9h, so the boats didn’t bother us at all)
- breakfast (THB350/person) was mediocre at best (there are a TON of great food options nearby! Just take a walk out of the main hotel entrance in the morning and eat with the locals!)
TLDR; stay here. You will not regret it. Unless you’re a light sleeper, maybe.
