Very good stay, it was perfect

a perfect place to discover Kathmandu!
A really friendly and dynamic team always helpful and ready to make you coffee or tea (thank you Bikesh) . Positioned in the Thamel district, it is very easy to find and we are in the hyper center.

Beds in the dorm were really clean and AC was strong. Staff was extremely helpful. Dorms only on the top floor and no elevator if that matters. Location is a bit loud but I don’t think you can avoid it really in Thamel.

Very good experience

Very nice place, staff and location, if we come back to Nepal I will stay same place.
Santos the owner and Sital the manager they are so nice and they help you with everything you need! Definitely if you want to experience the real Nepal you should stay here.

Great Experience at the Flying Yak

I stayed in both the dorms and the single room and I think that it was a great value. The dorm beds were very affordable and the free coffee was a nice perk. The single room had a super cozy bed and the hot water felt great after a long day traveling. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Flying with the Yak

We stayed three nights here and on our very first day we were welcomed by the manager, who also informed us about the trips he is organizing (see adventuremastertrek.com). They were flexible enough to even tailor a guided trek to Langtang valley for our remaining free days! So we will also return here ;-) Flying Yak not only offers good rooms (AC, hot water, boiler, WIFI), service (free coffee and water in the charming lobby) and a location directly in the center (shopping district Thamel) of Kathmandu; we can also recommend it because it is so easy to organize trips with fair prices and flexibility with them.
