Übernachtung
Angefangen vom freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service, über die blitzsauberen und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmer, den nagelneuen Wellnessbereich im Untergeschoss (sprachlos) und, last but not least, die Spitzenküche. Noch zu erwähnen, das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet. Den nahegelegenen Tharandter Wald habe ich mir für den nächsten Urlaub auf die Agenda geschrieben. Mit Übernachtung im Parkhotel.

Not an acceptable value for money
Cons: Price-performance does not fit at all, neither in the restaurant nor in the rooms. The wellness area is relatively well maintained, but overall too cool in the rooms outside the eig. Sauna and a little loveless overall. You pay an extra fee for the use.
The room is large (Junior Suite) but unfortunately not very clean. In the bathroom no items like soap, the garbage is not emptied by the previous guest and both tiles, floor and sink not clean. Kettle available but without tea. And coffee machine without capsules. The towels have an unsightly smell. Room extremely noisy.

Bad service, max. 3*
Even checking in was lengthy and poorly prepared, even though the booking had been made months in advance. A Chinese landlord with 2 Chinese employees (friendly, but always in sweatpants and rubber clogs and no knowledge of German or English) and a German waitress make up the entire staff.
There was a piece of paper with the two words "Matjes" and "Schnitzel" ready for you to choose your evening meal (nothing else, not even a price).
Facilities:
The room was ice cold and had obviously not been heated for a long time (others as well).
The bed was like the photos online, old mattress and only 1 small pillow, otherwise a small oak desk with a refrigerator cube underneath (empty), a cupboard with a safe, 1 armchair and a separate corner table with a kettle (no socket!) and 2 small cups without saucers. 2 instant coffee sachets only on the first day. No tea or milk/sugar. No place to put your suitcase, you can only sit on the bed.
Bathroom: very small, 2 small shower gels only on the first day (nothing else!), 1 broken small Clatronic hairdryer and only on the first day.
For 4 days no one came to clean, refill or change the towels, although we needed to clean the floor because we were hiking and we also hung the sign on the door handle.
Breakfast: simple buffet with wheat rolls, once there were warmed-up grain rolls, on request there was also 1 bread (some of which was still frozen), hunting sausage, 1 type of packaged jam and honey, a few pieces of orange and melon for 30 guests, cutlery or saucers were missing several times.
Dinner: always only by ordering in the morning on a piece of paper (second day was "brawn" or "pork", price €17.90 each) - no menu, no choice whatsoever.
Sauna in the basement: very nicely designed, by registration in the morning, bathrobe and sauna use costs 16€, unfortunately no herbal oil or shower gel.
Conclusion: actually a 3* hotel at most with obvious savings and too expensive!
Positive: good location for hikes and nice sauna area.
No shopping opportunities in town!
